Madonna Circle, one of the longest standing, established charitable organizations in Memphis, began in 1936 and was incorporated as a 501(c) 3 in 1962. Started as a group of civic-minded women of the Catholic faith, this group has grown to approximately 375 women who provide volunteer services for a few local charities and funding for a wide variety of local charities who are selected each year based on need. While members’ volunteer services currently focus on St. Peter Manor and the Jubilee Schools, the Circle’s fundraising efforts since 1976 have contributed nearly two and a half million dollars to many local charitable service organizations for the betterment of our community.
For 34 years, Memphis Antiques Garden and Gourmet Show served as the major source of funds. Our membership is now exploring new opportunities to support this grant in the future.
